Exciting bouts steal show at wrestling meet

The second day of the 74th All India Police Wrestling Cluster 2025-26 at the Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, witnessed thrilling action as players of different states showcased their talent and determination.

In the women’s 59 kg weight category, CISF’s Rekha beat UP’s Tannu to claim the gold medal. In 50 kg category, UP’s Chanchal defeated CRPF’s Manjeet Kaur 5-1 to clinch gold.

In the men’s 47-50 kg category, CRPF’s Mohammad Askin defeated ITBP’s Ruchir Srivas 4-1, earning a spot in the next round. In the 55-60 kg category, CISF’s Harsh overpowered Haryana’s Paramjit with a 5-0 victory, while in the 50-55 kg category, BSF’s Lalit achieved a 5-0 win over UP’s Javed, entering the next round.
