Teaching staff members of Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa, have written to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, seeking urgent financial assistance for the release of their pending salaries.
In a letter dated November 7, the CDLU Educationists Welfare Association stated that university employees, both teaching and non-teaching, have not been paid for the past two months owing to financial constraints and delays in the release of government funds.
The signatories, including professors and assistant professors, said the delay had caused severe hardship among staff, many of whom were struggling to meet essential expenses such as food, healthcare and education.
“As the custodian of the university, your esteemed office plays a vital role in ensuring the stability and welfare of the academic and administrative ecosystem,” the association wrote in its letter. “We, therefore, request your kind intervention to facilitate the timely release of the required financial assistance or grant-in-aid.”
