The Haryana School of Business (HSB) at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, inaugurated a week-long faculty development programme (FDP) on Tuesday.

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the participation of over 50 faculty members representing various institutions across northern India. GJUST Vice-Chancellor Narsi Ram Bishnoi, as the chief guest at the event, highlighted the transformative role educators played in nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset.

He praised the initiative for its “futuristic approach and international collaboration aimed at building faculty capabilities to drive innovation in higher education”.

Gopa Kumar, representing the Wadhwani Foundation, said the FDP was being delivered via their global learning platform.

The programme featured modules on outcome-based teaching, entrepreneurial case studies, digital pedagogy, start-up ecosystems, and effective mentorship, Kumar added, stating that it aimed to empower faculty to act as change-makers within their institutions.

The initiative was spearheaded by HSB Dean Karam Pal Narwal and Director Vinod Kumar Bishnoi.
