Karnal: Class XI of Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat, organised a farewell for students of Class XII. Principal Vinita Kumar Tomar and headmistress Dr Neelam Vats were the chief guests. Titles were given to the pass outs in view of their personality. Anu Gandhi bagged the title of ‘Miss Farewell’ and Vaibhav Sharma bagged the title of ‘Mr Farewell’. Rajat Bucha was selected as ‘Mr Elegant’ and Deepika was selected as ‘Miss Elegant’. Students of Class XII said their school focused on the all-round development of the students. The principal and the headmistress wished the pass outs well for their future.
Awareness on roadsafety rules
Ambala: To create awareness among parents regarding safety rules, parents were given a questionnaire to fill on Parent Teacher Meeting held at SD Vidya school on Saturday. The motive of the questionnaire was to encourage parents to behave safely on roads and to display positive attitude towards Road Safety. By filling up the questionnaire, the parents were able to assess their behaviour and attitude towards road safety measures. The teachers made sure to enlighten them about the dangers and risks of under-age driving and motivated them not to encourage it to which they appeared to be very receptive. Slogans and Collage on Road Safety were displayed in the classrooms.
Yajna performed at school
Karnal: Chatur Vedam Shatkam Parayan Mahayajna was performed at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary Public School, Dhanora in Ladwa. Acharya Mohan Lal from Gurukul Kurukshetra, along with Shvender Shashtri and disciples from Yajnashala Gurukul Ladwa, chanted shlokas of vedas. Pawan Garg, president, governing body of the school, along with Ravinder Bansal, secretary; Dherminder Khera, principal; Dr HP Sharma, principal, IGN College; Anil Goyal; Sushil Dua and teachers made offerings and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the school community and people in general. Puran Aahuti will be held on January 1, 2020, to mark the New Year.
8 GJUST STUDENTS SELECTED
Hisar: Eight students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, have been selected in an off campus internship-cum-placement drive of Rudrapur-based Huhtamaki PPL. The drive was conducted by the training and placement cell in their Rudrapur office. Prof Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof Harbhajan Bansal, Registrar, congratulated the students. Pratap Singh Malik, director, placement, said the company had 15 manufacturing units and a staff of 4,000 persons, who were serving a variety of customers and products. He said ten students of BTech (printing) 2020 batch participated in the drive, out of which eight were selected.
UNIFORM COATS DISTRIBUTED
Kaithal: The Eagles Club Kaithal distributed uniform coats to students of local Giyan Uday Public school here. Club President Gurcharan Singh said that the purpose of club activities was to help needy students and bring them to main stream. He said that it came to the notice of club members that the students needed uniform coats due to prevailing cold weather hence they decided to provide them coats. Surinder Arora, General Secretary, said that, “If we help the needy it provides us great mental satisfaction and the needy got relief.”
