Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vikram Singh said the next 24 hours are extremely critical for the district. The Yamuna’s water level is rising rapidly due to the continuous release from the Hathnikund Barrage, while the heavy rainfall warning by the Meteorological Department has further aggravated the risk.

To deal with any emergency, the district administration has placed all departments on high alert mode and intensified preparations.
