Faridabad police apprehend four criminals in two separate encounters
A motorcycle, illegal weapons, and cartridges were seized from their possession
In the early hours of Saturday, the Faridabad police apprehended four criminals in two separate encounters. The accused were identified as Shashikant from Koylak village in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh; Rohit from Uncha village in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh; Kamal Bhadana from Mohammatabad in Faridabad; and Manish from Motihari, Bihar.
According to Varun Dahiya, ACP Crime-2, Faridabad, around 4 am, the Crime Branch Sector 30 team attempted to apprehend two bike-riding suspects on the Pali-Surajkund road. The suspects opened fire, prompting the police to retaliate, injuring Shashikant in the leg. Shashikant and his accomplice Rohit were subsequently arrested, and a motorcycle and two illegal pistols were seized.
During Rohit’s interrogation, it was revealed that his associates Kamal Bhadana and Golu were planning another crime. The Crime Branch team reached Sainik Colony, where they spotted two individuals on a motorcycle who attempted to flee upon seeing the police. The suspects opened fire, and in the ensuing exchange, Kamal Bhadana sustained leg injuries. He and his associate Manish were apprehended, and a motorcycle, six illegal weapons, a magazine, and four cartridges were seized.
ACP Varun Dahiya stated that the accused had previously extorted money from a cloth merchant in April and had opened fire, injuring an elderly woman in Ghazipur Road, Dabua Colony, in September. Both cases had warrants against the accused. According to police records, Kamal has 15 registered cases, Shashikant has six, and Manish has four. The injured suspects are stable and receiving treatment.
