Faridabad, March 30

A 54-year-old Faridabad woman has been found Covid positive. This is the fourth case here and the 22nd in Haryana.

Gurugram has reported 10 cases, the highest among districts so far. Faridabad and Panipat have reported four cases each and Ambala, Panchkula, Sonepat and Palwal one each.

After a sample report of the woman confirmed that she was infected, she was admitted to a private hospital. According to health officials, the woman, a resident of the Surajkund area, could have got the virus from her husband, working for a company in Noida. Her husband was among the 24 persons who were quarantined over a week back after a Covid case surfaced at his company office in Noida. Her husband, two sons, a maid and a washerman who came in contact were quarantined and their samples sent for testing.

Earlier, three persons had been found Covid positive. A 53-year-old woman, who was the first confirmed case in the district, had been discharged after recovery.

One recovers in Gurugram

Chandigarh: One more Covid patient in Gurugram recovered on Monday. With this, six patients in Gurugram and one in Faridabad had recovered. A spokesman of the Health Department said the situation in Gurugram had been under control for the last six days and no new case had been reported.

Panipat patient discharged

Panipat: The first Covid-positive patient in the city, a 21-year-old youth of Model Town admitted in the isolation ward, was discharged from the general hospital late on Monday after his two consecutive tests came out negative. He had returned from England on March 15, showed symptoms on March 18 and tested positive on March 19.
