Faridabad: The women cell of Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh, organised a field trip to improve understanding of the functioning of the Police Department. According to Principal Dr Krishan Kant Gupta, the girl students visited the women police station, Ballabgarh, as part of the field visit programmes. As many as 66 girl students visited the women police station under the supervision of Dr Geeta Gupta, Dr Rekha Sain and Dr Renu Maheshwari, in-charge women cell, the students were sensitised about the functioning of the station by SHO Officer Neha Rathi, who told them about the process of redressal of complaints received by cops. Head constable Sonia told them about the procedure of FIR and the nature of the cases of domestic violence, molestation and sexual harassment at workplace.
Techno-managerial fest concludes
Kurukshetra: The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, national-level Techno-managerial Techspardha concluded with a valedictory ceremony at the institute’s jubilee hall. Director Dr BV Ramana Reddy was the chief guest of the ceremony. The Director congratulated winners and runner ups of various events.
Activities to mark Yoga Day
Faridabad: To mark the celebration of International Day of Yoga, which is celebrated on June 21 every year, the JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, on Tuesday launched a series of activities which include yoga camp for students and staff members, yogasana competition, expert lecture and quiz competition. These activities have been conducted by the office of Dean Student Welfare of the university. The activities were formally launched by Vice-Chancellor Prof SK Tomar with a two-week yoga camp for girl students of the university. The camp will continue till May 1. The camp is being jointly conducted by the Dean Student Welfare Office and girls hostel with technical support provided by the trainers from the university’s community college for skill development.
Guest lecture organised
Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University School of Management, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (KUK), and Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra Alumni Association (KUKAA) organised a guest lecture on “Strategy to sustain in academic research”. Dr Anil Kumar Bandrana, associate professor, Guildhall School of Business and Law, London Metropolitan University, UK, delivered a lecture on how to become sustainable in academic research, especially during a very dynamic and challenging environment. Bandrana emphasised on strategic importance during different phases of the research.
