Farmers seek adequate relief for installing power towers

Farmers have decided not to allow installation of towers by Power Utilities in their fields without adequate compensation. They took the decision in a panchayat held in Nimdiwali village of Bhiwani district today.

Independent MLA Sombir Sangwan from Dadri, who is also the pradhan of Sangwan khap, attended the meeting. He assured the farmers that the government would give adequate compensation to them for using their land to set up electricity towers in the fields. Rakesh Arya, a farmer, maintained that they demanded a compensation of Rs 20 lakh for installing towers in their fields.
