The feedback cell has been established with an aim to improve the accountability of police personnel, transparency and the citizen’s satisfaction towards the Police Department, the Commissioner added.
The feedback cell has been started in relation to complaints and verification at all levels in the district so that public hearing can be improved and victims do not have to make rounds in the offices, the ADGP said.
ADGP Mamta Singh further said the police personnel at the centre would collect the feedback regarding their satisfaction with the police action by contacting the victims over the phone.
The victims/complainants would be informed about the action taken on the concerned complaint and their opinion will be recorded.
CP Mamta Singh said often people came from distant places to her office with their complaints by spending money on fare. Now, through the feedback cell, the information would be given directly to them on their phones, she added. The women police personnel had been deployed in the cell after giving them special training, the ADGP asserted.
ADGP Mamta Singh further said each complaint was recorded on the computer with detail of the complainant and the name of the officer was also mentioned to whom the complaint was sent.
The employees at the feedback cell first collect the information about whether the complaint was resolved or not. Then they contact the complainant and briefthem about the action initiated by the police personnel on their complaints. If the matter was resolved, the complainant was asked whether he or she was satisfied with the police action or not, the Commissioner asserted.
The Police Commissioner said that positive results were being received from the feedback cell and every complaint was being monitored properly.
Apart from the district headquarters, the feedback cells have also been started at the zone level in the district. If any complainant is dissatisfied with the police action, he/she can file their objections, she added. Prabeena P, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Headquarters and East, DCP Crime Narender Kadyan, DCP West Kushal Pal Singh, and DCP Gohana Bharti Dabas and other police officials were present on the occasion.
