The police have registered an FIR against 10-15 unidentified individuals in connection with the damage to signage at Maharshi Chavan Government Medical College in Koriawas village on Monday morning. The complaint was lodged by officials of the Public Works Department.

Meanwhile, residents of Koriawas village continued their protest outside the college for the second consecutive day today. They said they would not end the dharna until the name of the college was changed.

The protesters are demanding that the college be renamed after Rao Tula Ram, a prominent freedom fighter from the region who played a key role in the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
