Fire breaks out at factory in Sonepat

A major fire broke out at a tyre factory in the industrial area near Ram Nagar village late night on Tuesday.

Ten fire-tenders reached the spot to control the flames.

However, the fire still could not be contained until the next day. As per information, the fire broke out at the factory on the Ram Nagar-Dhaturi road at night. It spread quickly due to high winds.

After running from the fire and saving their lives, the workers informed the factory owner and the fire brigade.

Following this, 10 fire tenders from Sonepat, Rai, HSIIDC Barhi, Gannaur and Kundli reached spot to douse the flames. The fire was so huge that the fire control operation continued till Wednesday afternoon.

The actual cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained.

However, a short circuit is believed to have caused

the mishap.
