First phase of Census starts from May 1
Chandigarh, December 4
The first phase of Census-2021, which is houselisting operations and housing Census, has been notified for conduct in the state from May 1-June 15, 2020.
An official spokesman said the Haryana Directorate of Census Operations participated in the International “Gita Jayanti Mahotsav” at Kurukshetra and made people aware of the Census-2021.
He said the Census-2021, which was the 16th since independence, would be a digital one. For the first time in the 150-year history of census in India, data will be collected through a specially designed mobile app and enumerators would be encouraged to use their mobile phones for collecting information. — TNS
