Addressing fish farmers gathered from across the state, Cabinet Minister Shyam Singh Rana said fisheries would play a crucial role in strengthening India’s economy and improving the financial condition of farmers. He said the platform would allow progressive fish farmers to share their experiences and success stories, inspiring others to adopt fish farming as a profitable enterprise. “Fisheries contribute immensely to the country’s economic growth. ” he added.

The minister noted that although Haryana was geographically far from the sea, it currently ranks second among non-coastal states in fish production. “We are now working with the vision to bring Haryana to the number one position in fish farming,” he said.
