Flight Lt Siddharth Yadav cremated with full military honours in Rewari village

The mortal remains of Flight Lt Siddharth Yadav (28), who tragically lost his life in a Jaguar fighter jet crash during a routine training mission in Gujarat on April 2, were cremated at his native Majra Bhalkhi village here with full military honours.
Siddharth's father, Sushil Yadav, a retired Indian Air Force officer, lit the funeral pyre of his son. "I am proud of my son, who sacrificed his life to save the lives of many people," he said, fighting back tears.
Former Minister Dr Banwari Lal, Bawal MLA Dr Krishan Kumar, Rewari SDM Surender Singh, DSP Jogendra Sharma, District Council Chairman Manoj Yadav and several other dignitaries laid wreaths on the body and paid their respects to the braveheart.
Earlier, Siddharth's mortal remains were brought to his new residence in Sector 18, Rewari, where residents gathered to honour the martyred soldier, saluting his bravery and ultimate sacrifice. Following this, a funeral procession, led by chants of "Bharat Mata ki Jai", accompanied by a large crowd of mourners, made its way from Sector 18 to his ancestral village, Majra Bhalkhi, where he was given a final farewell.
Siddharth's cousin, Sachin, shared that Siddharth had rejoined his duties on March 31 after returning from leave. He got engaged on March 23, and his wedding was scheduled for November.
“Siddharth cleared the NDA exam in 2017. After three years of training, he joined the Air Force as a fighter pilot. Two years later, he was promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant," Sachin added.
