Focus on governance, Brijendra Singh urges Haryana CM
Says ongoing law & order reflected poor state of affairs
Urging Chief Minister Nayab Singh Sani to be serious about governance rather than merely having the ‘feeling’ of the position of Chief Minister, Congress leader and former Hisar MP Brijendra Singh said the state government had completed a year, but the ongoing law and order reflected the poor state of affairs.
Stating that the chaos in the state must end, he said, “The CM must take charge of the affairs and bring things under control,” he said. Singh was leading the Sadbhav Yatra, which entered the district today.
Speaking on the recent suicides by two police officers of the Haryana Police, he said the investigation should not be conducted by the police. "This case must be investigated either by a sitting or a retired judge. If senior police officers are involved, there’s a risk that the police will not conduct a fair probe, and the matter will be hushed up," he said.
The Congress leader said though there were no elections right now, he decided to embark on the yatra to strengthen mutual harmony and unity in society.
"While the BJP government has tried to divide people on the basis of religion and caste, our effort is to bring society together," he claimed.
On the 13th day of the yatra, Singh arrived in the Narnaund constituency of the district today. Youth Congress leader Krishan Satrod and former Rakhigarhi sarpanch Dinesh Sheoran welcomed Singh at the historic Rakhigarhi village. The Barah khap panchayat extended its support to the yatra and welcomed the former MP at the village.
