Ambala, July 6
Former Haryana deputy CM Chander Mohan on Tuesday met state Home and Health Minister Anil Vij at his residence in Ambala Cantonment to raise issues related to health, urban local bodies and police department in Panchkula.
Mohan was accompanied by a 21-member delegation comprising Municipal Councillors and Congress leaders from Panchkula, and handed over three memorandums to Vij.
He urged the Home Minister to situate all Municipal Corporation offices in a single building so that Panchkula residents were not harassed while getting their work done. He added that Municipal Corporation offices were, at present, located in three separate sectors, causing inconvenience to people while getting their issues resolved.
He also demanded a medical university or college to be set up in the city. On the issue of law and order, Mohan maintained that the police force in Panchkula was highly under staffed as compared to the workload. — TNS
