The Congress high command has once again shown confidence in former Dabwali MLA Amit Sihag by assigning him the role of district election observer for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. It views the Bihar polls as a crucial test, and, along with Sihag, around 40 senior leaders from across the country have been given responsibilities. Notable among them are Haryana leaders Virendra Rathore and Chetan Chauhan. The list of chief observers includes Ashok Gehlot and Bhupesh Baghel. Previously, Sihag was appointed as an All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer for organisational campaigns in Odisha and Rajasthan.
