Former MP Manvendra Singh shifted to Gurugram hospital through green corridor

Former MP Manvendra Singh, who got injured in a road accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and was admitted to a private hospital in Alwar last evening, has been shifted to a private hospital in Gurugram for further treatment.

- His wife Chitra Singh lost her life, while their son Hamir suffered fracture on his hand and driver Narendra sustained minor injuries in the accident
- A CCTV camera captured the vehicle skidding off the road and hitting a cemented parapet on the vacant space between two elevated roads in Rajasthan
The former MP’s wife Chitra Singh lost her life in the accident while his son Hamir and driver Narendra, who got injured, have also been shifted to the hospital here.
The accident took place when Manvendra, son of former Union minister Jaswant Singh, and his family were on their way from Delhi to Jaipur. Chitra’s body was sent to Jodhpur last night.
According to doctors, Manvendra suffered multiple fractures in ribs while his son suffered a hand fracture and the driver sustained minor injuries.
According to the Rajasthan Police, the driver apparently lost control of the car, which then collided with the wall of a flyover. A CCTV camera captured the vehicle skidding off the road and hitting a cemented parapet on the vacant space between two elevated roads.
Manvendra, a former MP from Barmer, had quit the BJP and joined the Congress. He also contested the 2018 Assembly Elections against then CM and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje from Jhalrapatan constituency. He had lost the poll.
