Foundation stones for projects worth Rs 6.33 cr laid in Ambala
Former Minister of State Aseem Goel laid foundation stones for projects worth Rs 6.33 crore in various wards of Ambala City on Friday.
The projects included the construction of a street along with a storm water pipe in Ward 6, the construction of a boundary wall and parking at Rambagh, a hall for students with special needs at government model senior secondary school, the construction of community centres in Kalu Majra and Liharsa, repair and renovation of a community centre in Sector 1, renovation of a park in Prem Nagar and bus queue shelter in Prem Nagar.
Similarly, foundation stones were laid for the construction of a drain and street in Goverdhan Nagar, the construction of Chhat Pooja Ghat in Sector 9, repair and renovation of park near INCO underbridge and the construction of BR Ambedkar Bhawan in Ward 18. Besides this, foundation stones for construction and repairs of various streets and other civil workS were laid.
Speaking on this occasion, former Ambala City BJP MLA Aseem Goel said, “Various projects were announced before the elections, of which the foundation stones for projects worth Rs 6.33 crore have been laid today. The works will be executed in Wards 6, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18 and 20 of Ambala City. The contractors have been directed to complete the projects within the stipulated time frame and also focus on the quality of work. The foundation stones of other projects that were approved before the elections will be laid soon and the pending projects will be expedited so that residents get benefits of the projects.”
BJP district chief Mandeep Rana, senior Deputy Mayor of Ambala Municipal Corporation Meena Dhingra, presidents of various mandals and councillors were present on this occasion.
