4 family members found dead under mysterious circumstances in Shahabad; Minor boy critical
Four members of a family were found dead and one minor boy is in critical condition under mysterious circumstances at their home in Yara village, Shahabad, on Sunday. The incident came to light when the family members failed to emerge from the house.
The victims have been identified as Naib Singh, his wife Amrit Kaur, their son Dushyant, daughter-in-law Amanpreet Kaur and grandson Keshav. Initially, Naib Singh and Amrit Kaur were found dead at the scene, while Dushyant, Amanpreet and Keshav were found in critical condition. They were rushed to the hospital, where Dushyant and Amanpreet succumbed to their injuries.
Naib Singh was found with injury marks on his neck; however, the cause of death for the other victims is yet to be determined.
The Shahabad police station SHO, Satish Kumar, stated, “Two bodies were recovered from the house, and two more died in the hospital. Naib Singh had injury marks on his neck, while there were no visible injuries on the woman. The exact cause of death will be confirmed in the postmortem. The minor boy is undergoing treatment. Statements are being recorded and CCTV footage is being retrieved as part of the ongoing investigation.”
