The cyber police have arrested four more individuals from Jodhpur for allegedly duping a man of Rs 6.79 lakh under the pretext of share market trading. The accused would be presented in a court to obtain police remand for further investigation.
Sirsa Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Bhushan said a case was registered on the basis of complaint filed by Rai Singh, a resident of Prem Nagar, Sirsa. Singh told the police that cybercriminals had promised high returns in a short time through investments in the stock market. Believing the accused, Singh shared his bank account details after which fraudsters withdrew Rs 6.79 lakh from his account. The police apprehended Diler Khan, Suleman, Aamir, and Arbaz, all residents of Jodhpur, the SP said. The SP further said the accused would be interrogated after seeking remand to recover mobile devices and money withdrawn from the bank account of the complainant.
