Four held for looting cell phone in Panipat

The police have arrested four persons for allegedly looting a mobile phone from a labourer in Sector 29, industrial area.

Inspector Vijay, SHO, CIA-3, said the team had received a tip-off that four persons on two motorcycles were present near Ujha turn under suspicious circumstances.

Following a tip off, the team nabbed all four suspects and interrogated them. The accused have been identified as Sahil and Jitu of Vikas Nagar, Abhishek of Krishna Garden, and Sanjay of Batra Colony, he said.

During the primary interrogation, the accused admitted to robbing a mobile phone from a person near Amira Garden on the night of October 26. A case was registered on the complaint of Sangam from Uttar Pradesh in Industrial Sector 29, the Inspector added.

Two motorcycles used in the crime and the mobile phone were recovered from the accused, he said. The accused have been produced in court on Sunday, and the court sent them to judicial custody, Inspector Vijay added.
