Four missing Dabwali youth found dead in canal on Rajasthan road
The bodies of four Dabwali youth, “missing” since July 13, were recovered from Raj Canal here today. Their sports utility vehicle (SUV) was fished out from the canal between Kalatitar and Kaluwana bridge on the Rajasthan road today morning. All four bodies were identified.
The police launched a rescue operation at 9 am with divers and help of the locals. By 10.15 am, the vehicle was located. As it was pulled out using a hydra machine, one body that surfaced was identified as Vinod, alias Binder, a resident of Kaluwana village. The remaining bodies of Ravindra, Balbir, and Raisingh were found inside the SUV. The four youth had left Kaluwana on July 13 night for Ganeshgarh in Rajasthan. When their mobile phones were unreachable next morning, their families checked CCTV footage, which showed their last location near the canal.
Dabwali Sadar police station in-charge Shailender Singh said preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle accidentally plunged into the canal, resulting in deaths of four occupants.
