Four nabbed for robbery, snatching

The Crime Branch, Faridabad police, has arrested four persons allegedly involved in robbery, snatching and for keeping illegal weapons. Two country-made pistols, two cartridges, a mobile phone with SIM card and Rs 1,000 were recovered from their possession.

The suspects were identified as Gaurav, Vivek, Krishan and Neeraj, all residents of Chhainsa village. More than eight cases have been registered against them for robbery, theft, snatching and keeping illegal weapons etc.

Police spokesperson Sube Singh said Gaurav, Vivek and Krishan had robbed a truck driver of his mobile phone, wallet and cash after stopping him on the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) expressway on February 10. “The arrested accused are drug addicts. As their village is near the KGP highway, the accused used to indulge in robbery and snatching. They were produced in a city court on Thursday and sent into judicial custody,” added Sube Singh.
