Four new persons have been found suffering from dengue in Gurugram in the past 24 hours.
The District Surveillance Officer of the Health Department, Dr JP Singh, said the total count of dengue patients had increased to 156 in the current season.
“The persons who were diagnosed with dengue virus during the past 24 hours have been admitted to hospitals. Two of them are in a government hospital, while two were admitted to private hospitals,” he added. The four dengue patients were identified as a 25-year old woman from the Naharpur Roopa area; a 28-year-old woman from Mohammadpur Khandsa village; a 15-year- old youth from Sector 49 and a 24-year-old youth from Sector 40.
The health official said out of the total 156 dengue patients, 48 were given treatment through the OPD while all other patients were treated after admitting them to various hospitals. A total of 16 patients were still admitted in hospitals, he said.
Chief Medical Officer of Gurugram Dr Virender Yadav said all the civic bodies of the district and the panchayat had been asked to get fogging done at all vulnerable places. He said 174 samples of blood were collected from the body of suspected patients on Monday for analysis of dengue. A total of 11,154 samples of blood had been collected for dengue analysis during this season.
