There was mourning in the family. The family is in shock and is demanding strict action against the accused van driver. On Tuesday, the police handed over the body of the boy to the family after conducting a postmortem examination.

The incident took place in Shikohpur village on Monday afternoon. According to the police, the child identified as Sidharth was in LKG and studied at Little Dream World School, located in Kherki Daula. An FIR was registered against the school management and van driver under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 304 (2) (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) at the Kherki Daula police station.

“My four-year-old son had started going to school 13 days ago and he was very happy. Due to the negligence of the school and the van driver, my son has been taken away from us. The van driver drives the van in speed while he has no helper in the van. After getting information, I reached the spot but the driver had fled after leaving my son in a serious condition on the roadside. The driver did not even wait for my arrival. It was due to the negligence of the school and the driver of the van that my son is not with me today”, Gulshan, father of deceased student, said.

“We are conducting raids to nab the suspect driver who has not been identified yet. We visited the school today but found it locked and could not contact the management. We are on the job and the accused will be arrested soon”, said Inspector Rajender Kumar, SHO of the Kherki Daula police station.
