Four youths killed in mishap

A tragic road accident claimed the lives of four young men when their car crashed into a tree near Harikot village on the Hisar-Mangali road late last night. The victims were on their way to attend a wedding ceremony in Harikot village.

The deceased have been identified as Nikhil (17), Ankush (19), Sahil (19), and Hitesh. Ankush and Sahil were students at the Government Polytechnic in Hisar, while Nikhil was studying at Government College. Nikhil was set to board a flight to Belarus today for a foreign trip.

According to police reports, the accident occurred when the driver lost control while negotiating a sharp turn, causing the car to collide with a tree along the roadside.

Azad Nagar police station incharge Sadhu Ram said, “As soon as we received information about the accident, our team rushed to the scene and took the victims to the civil hospital. Unfortunately, they could not be saved.”

After conducting a post-mortem examination, the bodies were handed over to their grieving families today.

The accident has shocked the local community, with many expressing sorrow over the loss of four promising young lives.
