Full dress rehearsal held ahead of Independence Day in Jagadhri

The district administration in Jagadhri today held a full dress rehearsal at the new grain market in preparation for the Independence Day celebrations.

Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij will be the chief guest and will hoist the national flag at the venue on August 15. He will also lay a floral wreath at the Shaheed Smarak in the Police Lines, Jagadhri, at 8.40 am.

Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta, speaking after the rehearsal, said all arrangements for the district-level celebrations were complete, with extensive security measures in place to ensure the event is held in a grand manner.

The march past will be led by DSP Rajiv Miglani. At the sub-division level, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora will hoist the flag in Chhachhrauli, Zila Parishad Chairman Ramesh Chand Thaska in Vyaspur, and Radaur SDM Narender Kumar in Radaur.

The rehearsal was attended by Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja, Jagadhri SDM Vishwanath, City Magistrate Piyush Gupta, District Education Officer Dharmender Chaudhary, DIPR Dr Manoj Kumar, District Sports Officer Shilpa Gupta, District Child Welfare Officer Sukhminder Singh, DIO Vinay Gulati, Red Cross Secretary Randeep Singh, other officials and hundreds of students from various schools and colleges.
