According to SP Rajesh Duggal, information was received that a truck containing narcotics was coming from UP on NH-19 on Thursday night. The seizure was made during the special checking of the truck.

He said the truck was intercepted near Ujjina drain and was carrying cottonseed cakes (khal). On search, it was found that it had 24 plastic bags containing ‘ganja patti’ weighing over 749 kg.

These bags were hidden underneath the cottonseed cake bags, he said, adding that the drug had been procured from Vijay Nagar in Orissa. It was meant to be supplied to Nuh district.
