Garbage dumping a nuisance at Defence Colony in Ambala Cantt

The Ambala Cantt Municipal Corporation has been completely ignorant of hygiene conditions in Defence Colony. Garbage is being dumped along the road, creating nuisance for the public. The problem is not a new one. The MC has not been bothered about the situation for the last five years now.

Development work takes toll on greenery

The construction of a medical college in Bhiwani near Civil Hospital is taking a toll on the greenery in the area as hundreds of trees are being axed by the authorities. The officials concerned should ensure that new trees are planted to compensate for the trees being felled for the construction of the college. Development activities should be carried out keeping in view environmental protection.
