Gurugram Civil Surgeon Dr Virender Yadav said he received information that Delhi’s Asha worker Anita, along with Dr Neelam Walia in Delhi, was conducting prenatal gender test at Walia Maternity Centre in Sarita Vihar, Delhi. A team of officials laid a trap to catch the suspects red-handed.Anita asked for Rs 40,000 for a gender test and a deal was finalised. “On Monday, Anita reached Walia Maternity Centre with the fake customer and got an ultrasound done without any document, following which, the Health Department team conducted a raid,” Dr Yadav said.

Apart from Anita, Dr Neelam Walia, her husband Dushyant Walia and their son Rawal Walia were caught and handed over to Delhi Police.
