Get fencing done around plots or face action: Yamunanagar-Jagadhri MC
The Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri, has issued directions, stating that if the owners of empty plots failed to get the fencing done or boundary walls made on their own, the MC would do the work, and the expenses incurred on it would be recovered from the plot owners.
Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha issued these orders to deter locals from throwing garbage in empty plots. Launching the ‘Swachh Yamunanagar-Jagadhri’ campaign, Sinha said they were making efforts to make twin cities Yamunanagar and Jagadhri clean and beautiful. He said every citizen should help MC in the initiative, and the owners should get the fencing or boundary wall made.
The Municipal Commissioner said the campaign would run in the twin cities for the next 15 days. “During the campaign, all roads, public places and colonies will be cleaned, and grass grown on roadsides and accumulated waste will also be removed,” said Sinha.
He said there were a number of empty plots situated on the sides of the main roads of twin cities that were filled with garbage. “These empty plots neither have boundary walls nor fences. Such plots on the roadside are ruining the beauty of the twin cities. The owners of these such plots have been directed to clean them,” he said.
He said additional employees would be deputed to carry out cleanliness work in the twin cities. He said they had closed a large number of open garbage dumping points and placed pots and benches in their place.
He further said there were still some points in both the cities where garbage was being dumped in the open, therefore, efforts were being made to make such places garbage-free.
“These points will also be closed and pots and benches will be placed there. If still someone is found dumping garbage in the open, action will be taken against them,” said Sinha.
