Give Congress chance to form govt: Selja

Congress leader Kumari Selja has said that the BJP had worked to destroy brotherhood and spread hatred in the country and in Haryana in the last 10 years.

She today addressed an impressive public rally held by two-time MLA Akram Khan at Chhachhrauli town of Jagadhri constituency. Selja said the time had come to reject the BJP and to make the Congress successful in Haryana in the forthcoming Assembly election.

“In the Lok Sabha election of 2024, the BJP claimed that they would get more than 400 Lok Sabha seats, but the people rejected them. Similarly, now the time has come to oust BJP from Haryana and to give a chance to the Congress of forming the government in the state,” said Selja.

The Sirsa MP said she would make every possible effort to get the party ticket for Akram Khan for the Jagadhri constituency.

She further said that BJP didn’t care about the poor, Dalits and backward classes, but the Congress was a party which always uplifted the poor and cared for them.

With the announcement of the Assembly elections, political activities have started gaining momentum in Jagadhri Assembly constituency. The strong ticket contenders are organising rallies and calling senior party leaders to address their rallies to ensure that they got the ticket.
