GJUST holds workshop on first aid training
Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi, vice-chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, emphasised the critical role of First Aid knowledge in saving lives during emergencies.
He was addressing participants as the chief guest at a one-day Basic First Aid and Disaster Management Training Workshop, organised by the GJUST Youth Red Cross Society (YRC) in collaboration with the District Red Cross Society.
Prof Bishnoi noted the rising cases of heart attacks and highlighted how proper knowledge of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) could significantly aid in saving lives. He assured that similar training programmes would be conducted at the university, district and state levels in the future. As part of the workshop, the vice-chancellor also performed a CPR demonstration using a human dummy model.
The workshop was presided over by Dr Mahabir Prasad, YRC programme officer at GJUST.
