GJUST VC meets Haryana Governor

Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice-Chancellor, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, met Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor of Haryana.

The Vice-Chancellor gave detailed information about the arrangements, achievements and future plans of the university. The Governor expressed happiness over the achievements of the university and the new courses being started by the university. He also assured all possible guidance and help to the university.

Bishnoi informed the Governor about all achievements of the university related to national and international rankings last year as well as the new courses started last year. He informed that many regular courses, including Integrated BBA-MBA, Integrated BCA-MCA, BSc-BEd, BA-BEd, BALLB, BSc-MSc, food science, integrated BSc (Hons/Hons with research)-MSc geography, integrated BCom-MCom and BSc yoga was started at the university under the National Education Policy-2020.

The Vice-Chancellor informed the Governor that the university was going to start courses of BSc nursing, post basic nursing, medical laboratory technician as well as MA Sanskrit from the upcoming session. He informed that BTech mechanical engineering and BTech computer science & engineering courses were started for working professionals at the university. BTech electrical engineering courses would be started for working professionals at the university from the upcoming session. The National Education Policy-2020 was implemented in undergraduate courses at the university and its affiliated colleges. National Education Policy-2020 will be implemented in postgraduate courses from this session, the VC said.

He also discussed about the release of the ‘Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan’ (RUSA) grant of Rs. 40.02 crore and infrastructural grant with the Governor. Many infrastructural schemes, including construction of new teaching blocks and boys and girls hostel are proposed at the university.
