The High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC), chaired by CM Nayab Singh Saini, has approved the allotment of a tender for the installation of a master sewer network in Sectors 99-115 by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA).

The project aims to strengthen the sewer infrastructure in these sectors, with approximately 20.82 kilometers of new master sewage pipelines to be laid. The RCC pipelines, ranging from 600 mm to 1200 mm in diameter, will be installed in areas currently lacking a sewage system. This initiative will address overflow and sewage disposal issues in the region.

Additionally, the new sewer network will be connected to an upcoming Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Sector 107, which will be developed in two phases, each with a 100 MLD (megaliters per day) capacity. Once completed, the comprehensive sewage treatment system will significantly improve waste management for residents of sectors 99-115.

The project, which will cost Rs 39 crores, is expected to be completed within 24 months.
