The DC maintained that the state government was formulating a plan to establish a library in every village, hence the district administration was currently undertaking the necessary preliminary steps for this initiative. The move aims at providing the youth with valuable resources to help them prepare for government jobs while also benefiting other segments of society.

He said the government believed that youth unable to afford coaching fees would be able to access books and other reading materials at the village libraries, which would ultimately benefit society as a whole.

In reply to a question, Dahiya said the officials of development departments, especially the urban local bodies and rural development, had been instructed to float tender in advance for maintenance works so that the public did not face any problem in getting basic amenities.

He said before the completion of the sanitation tender period, the Municipal Council authorities had been instructed to issue tender in advance so that the cleaning system in the city was not affected.

“The process of providing facilities is going on in the colonies that were legalised under the government policy in the district. Work is being done at a fast pace as per the instructions of the state government to construct streets and provide other facilities in these colonies. The district administration is working with commitment to provide the benefits of government schemes to the residents as per rules,” said Dahiya.
