Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday renewed his attack on the BJP, accusing the party of not securing Haryana’s rightful share of water. He labelled the BJP government as “failed” for not taking timely and appropriate action on the issue.
“If the BJP government had taken the right steps at the right time, Haryana would have definitely got its rightful share of water. The BJP has failed to get justice for Haryana despite being in power both in the state and at the Centre,” said Hooda while interacting with mediapersons here on Sunday.

He said, “It is very unfortunate that despite being in power both in the state and the Centre, BJP could not get water for Haryana. BJP’s double-engine government has double-cheated the public. No engine worked at the time of need to get Haryana its rightful share of water and quench the thirst of the fields.
