Govt plans Disneyland in Delhi-NCR

To transform Haryana into a global tourism hotspot, the state government is planning to come up with a Disneyland in the Delhi-NCR region. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who met Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, said Disneyland in Haryana, especially in Delhi-NCR region, would be a game-changing project.

“This entertainment hub will bring economic, cultural and social benefits not only to the state but to the country as a whole,” he said. The CM said the objective of the project was to capitalise on market potential and connectivity to create a world-class amusement centre.

“It will generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities, develop infrastructure and bring major changes in the surrounding areas,” he said.

He said as many blue chip companies had their headquarters in Gurugram, the proposed project would come up on 500 acres of land near Pachgaon Chowk in Manesar. This site is strategically located on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, said the CM.
