Govt primary schools monitored in Ambala

A mega monitoring of 478 government primary schools of Ambala district was done under the Shiksha Dikhsa Paryavekshan programme of the Education Department on Monday.

The monitoring was done to evaluate various parameters, including academic progress, infrastructure and compliance with educational policies, by the Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojana Parishad.

An officials said the supervisors nominated by the District Project Coordinator Samagra Shiksha office reached their assigned schools to check class-wise skill passbooks, progress of foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) programme, learning outcome of children, teaching methods of teachers in the class, distribution of text books, work books and other materials to children, midday meal scheme, bag-free English medium school, smart classroom, maths kits, grants, dual desk, Bal Vatika and various programmes organised by the department.

To ensure that the supervisors were evaluating all parameters, various officials, including the District Elementary Education Officer, Block Education Officers, Block Resource Coordinators, Assistant Project Coordinators, Principal and faculty of District Institute of Education and Training inspected nearly 85 schools.

Ambala District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) Sudhir Kalra, who visited five primary schools, said, “Following the directions received from the department, a mega monitoring of the 478 government primary schools was conducted on Monday. It was ensured that all supervisors reach their assigned schools in time an inspection was also carried out by the senior officials. The reports of each school will be uploaded on the portal of the department. The evaluation and monitoring will help the department in improving infrastructure and quality education. Further directions will be implemented.”
