Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday underscored the vital role of innovation in driving progress in an increasingly competitive global landscape. Highlighting sectors like AI, robotics, machine learning, renewable energy, and biotechnology as the pillars of modern India, Saini outlined Haryana’s steps toward creating a vibrant innovation ecosystem. “We’ve established incubation centres in universities and tinkering labs in educational institutions to promote Atal Innovation on the ground,” he said.

He announced the launch of an AI Mission for Haryana, with technology hubs in Gurugram and Panchkula. “These hubs will provide training to over 50,000 youth and professionals, preparing them for future job markets,” he added.

Saini noted that Haryana already leads in economic indicators despite its small size. “With a per capita income nearly double the national average, Haryana contributes 3.8% to the country’s GDP. Our real strength is our youth,” he said.

The conference, which brought together institutions like the Swadeshi Research Institute, ICAR, and universities from India and Norway, was described by Saini as “not just an ideological platform but an opportunity to define shared aspirations and national goals.”
