Public Health and Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa, said the state remained a frontrunner in education, sports and other fields. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the country and the state are reaching new milestones in development.

The minister while addressing a gathering at a felicitation function of international boxer Kashish Malik at Daboda Khurd village here last evening praised the exceptional performance of Haryana’s athletes at international level, highlighting their role in enhancing the state’s and country’s reputation.

The minister highlighted the increasing participation of women in boxing, calling it both inspiring and encouraging. “Female boxers have given the nation many proud moments through their grit and determination. Kashish Malik stands as a shining example of the spirit, having brought laurels to both her state and the country through her performance,” he added.

Reiterating the government’s dedication, Gangwa said both the Central and state governments are fully committed to supporting athletes at every stage so they could keep India’s banner flying high on the international stage. He urged the youth to take part in sports with discipline, hard work, and devotion.

He further said boxing was quickly becoming one of the most popular sports in the country. “Our youth are enthusiastically participating and achieving remarkable success on the international platforms,” he said. He noted that Indian boxers had brought home numerous medals in recent years, showcasing the nation’s growing prowess in the sport.

Expressing confidence in future, he said, “India is poised to establish a strong global identity in boxing in the coming years.”

Urging the youth to actively participate in sports, he remarked, “Sports not only fosters discipline and dedication but also ensures a healthy and disease-free life.” The minister also invited attendees to an upcoming programme at Jatela Dham in Majra Dubaldhan village on June 11, to be attended by CM Nayab Singh Saini.
