The RSS is celebrating the BJP’s resounding victory, attributing its success to a well-coordinated grassroots efforts led by its cadre after the Lok Sabha elections’ setback. The Sangh, which worked closely behind the scenes, played a crucial role in reversing the anti-incumbency trend into a pro-incumbency wave.

At the centre of this coordinated effort is Arun Kumar, the 60-year-old RSS joint general secretary, who rose through the ranks in 2021. Kumar, described by Sangh leaders as the “Chanakya” of the campaign, was instrumental in ensuring synergy between the ideological mentor, RSS, and its political counterpart, BJP. The RSS conducted on-ground surveys, which provided the BJP with critical insights into local challenges and voter sentiment. Additionally, they played a key role in suggesting the best candidates.
