Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar on Sunday hailed the reduction in GST rates as a “historic decision” taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the move would directly benefit the poor and middle class.

Addressing a press conference at the grain market in Madlauda, Panwar said the cut had already begun to ease household budgets. “People who had booked vehicles are now receiving them at reduced prices, and citizens have expressed their gratitude to PM Modi for this decision,” he said.

The minister noted that the revised GST slabs had brought down the cost of daily-use items, small appliances and vehicles. “The Central Government has implemented the new GST rates, and people have already started benefiting from the reduced prices,” he added.

Later, Panwar joined locals in listening to the 126th episode of Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in Panipat. He said the programme had become a powerful medium of direct communication with citizens.

“In today’s address, the Prime Minister discussed several important topics. Among them, he laid special emphasis on ‘Vocal for Local’ and appealed to adopt indigenous products,” Panwar said, adding that buying local during the festive season would support traditional industries and strengthen the grassroots economy.
