“These GST reforms will not only provide relief to traders but also simplify the lives of ordinary consumers. Citizens will now be able to purchase indigenous products at lower tax rates. These measures will promote ease of doing business and bring greater transparency to trade,” Saini said.

To spread awareness about the reforms, he announced the launch of a “GST Awareness Campaign” that will run till October 15. The Excise and Taxation Department is setting up camps, with the first phase scheduled from September 22 to 29.
