The Ardee City locality in Gurugram has turned into a dumpyard as heaps of garbage have come up on the streets. Due to lack of adequate number of dustbins installed here, people often dump waste on the roadsides. The matter has been brought to the notice of the civic authorities many a time, but there has been no respite. The Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, must ensure that garbage is removed and cleanliness maintained here.

Contaminated water supplied in Faridabad
The water supplied for drinking purposes in several parts of Faridabad is of poor quality, thus leading to health hazards to residents. Sector 18A is one such area where a 16-year-old boy had to be hospitalised due to an infection possibly caused by the consumption of contaminated water supplied there. This is a major cause for concern for the area residents, and the authorities concerned must immediately take necessary steps to ensure that the water supplied to the residents is fit for drinking. Cable mess in Narwana
Private companies in Karnal often use utility poles, trees and even building walls to pass on their cables. At some points, these cables come in the way of statues of freedom fighters and eminent personalities. Not only does the maze of cables give a shabby look, but also results in the violation of civic norms. The authorities concerned should remove these cables and lay them underground. Ramesh Gupta, Narwana
