Gurugram MC to challan erring bulk waste generators
Gurugram, July 10
The Gurugram MC has identified over 3,000 bulk waste generators of commercial and institutional categories and has begun an exercise to physically verify if these units were following the Solid Waste Management Rules-2016.
MC Additional Commissioner Balpreet Singh said this while presiding over a meeting of the Citizen Supervisory Committee held on Wednesday. He said fine would be imposed on erring bulk waste generators. He said such units should also register on the MC’s portal.
Meanwhile, residential categories of bulk waste generators have been granted more time to register themselves on the portal.
