Notorious gangster Mainpal Badli arrested after deportation from Cambodia
The Special Task Force (STF), Gurugram, arrested the most wanted gangster, Mainpal Badli, after deporting him from Cambodia to India. A reward of Rs 7 lakh had been announced for information leading to his capture.
According to STF, gangster Mainpal, who was detained in Cambodia about 10 days ago, was caught by a joint team of central agencies and Haryana STF in a secret operation. Mainpal had been operating his gang from abroad for a long time.
Mainpal had come out of jail on parole on August 29, 2018, and subsequently fled abroad. Many serious cases, including murder, are registered against him. He is also accused of committing murder while in jail.
The Gurugram STF team will share full details regarding Mainpal’s arrest through a press conference in the afternoon.
