Gurugram, July 16

A 17-year-old Gurugram boy, Hunner Singh, made the city proud by finishing second in the National Karting Championship Round 2, held in Bangaluru last week.

Hunner had also secured the runner-up position in the competition’s junior category last year. Earlier in 2022, a rib fracture prevented him from competing in the National Karting Championship in 2022, but he recovered fast to compete in the 2023 and 2024 championships.

He is currently enrolled in Class XI at Pathways World School in Gurugram. Striking a balance between his studies and passion, Hunner travels to Bengaluru for practice every month as there are no FMSCI-approved tracks in North India. His most recent performance at the 2024 National Karting Championship Round 2 has gained him the reputation of an upcoming star.
